This chapter delves into the history of astroturf, and researches the material sturcture, manufacture process, and the application of astroturf on both commercial and residential scenarios.
This research not only sheds light on the cost-effectiveness and environmental impact of astroturf but also provides valuable insights into the nuanced decisions that inform its implementation in diverse contexts, including health impacts, and its comparison with natural grass.
“The Revelation of Astroturf” is a reconstructive piece that invokes an uncanny sensation. It reimagines the orientation of astroturf and installs itself in public parks as a chair, juxtapositing the natural grass.
